The NYC Department of Design and Construction seeks a Senior Project Executive (Design) for its Borough Based Jails (BBJ) Division. The Sr. Project Executive will oversee all aspects of the (design) process for the design-build capital program, comprising four Borough-based facilities valued at $16 billion. Responsibilities include overseeing the Program Management Consultant (PMC) firm’s (design) staff and DDC (design) staff, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, rules, and regulations of NYC/NYS’s governing agencies, including Design-Build Contractors throughout planning, design, and construction phases. The candidate will supervise multiple BBJ project (design) executives and project managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget, working with senior officials to implement project delivery methodologies and design best practices. Extensive interaction with city agencies, NY State agencies, and community boards is required.

Minimum Qualifications
A valid New York State Registration as an Architect is required, with six (6) years of full-time paid architectural experience, including at least two (2) years as an administrative architect.
Preferred Skills
Preference for candidates with at least ten years of management, project management, administration, and/or supervisory experience. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of City infrastructure and public building systems are desirable.
