Job summary

gpac LLC. is seeking an experienced Project Executive to lead a portfolio of commercial HVAC and plumbing projects in the Greater San Diego market.

You will provide executive oversight of project execution, financial performance, and client relationships, while developing high-performing project teams. This role balances field execution with contractual and operational standards, partnering with operations leadership, preconstruction, and project teams to deliver safe, profitable results for

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial mechanical construction (HVAC/plumbing).
• Senior leadership role experience (Project Executive/Senior PM/Operations Manager).
• Proven success managing multiple complex commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC/plumbing systems, contracts, and financial controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and influence outcomes.
• Strong communication with owners, leadership, and field teams.
• Experience with project management and financial reporting systems.
• PMP or similar credentials are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for multiple commercial HVAC and plumbing projects.
• Own financial performance across assigned projects, including gross margin, forecasting, and risk exposure.
• Lead and support Project Managers and Superintendents, ensuring accountability and consistency.
• Partner with preconstruction and estimating on pricing strategy, pursuits, and project handoffs.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and staffing plans across the project portfolio.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, and trade partners.
• Identify and mitigate project risk before it impacts schedule, cost, or client satisfaction.
• Champion safety, quality, and operational best practices across all work.
• Support client strategy and repeat work opportunities in collaboration with leadership.
• Mentor and develop project teams, supporting long-term succession and growth.
