Job summary

Crescent Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead project cost estimating across a broad energy portfolio, including wind, solar, energy storage, transmission, and more. You will develop and manage estimates from concept to definitive, collaborate with engineering and procurement, and drive value engineering to optimize cost and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project estimating, including conceptual engineering and design.
• Experience in utility-scale energy projects (renewables, transmission, etc.).
• Experience with value engineering, cost management, and construction methods.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new and existing projects (conceptual to definitive).
• Develop pricing models and evaluate new technologies for estimating.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction to gather specs and drawings.
• Perform value engineering to find cost savings without compromising quality.
• Develop and maintain estimation tools and methodologies.
• Conduct risk assessments and create contingency plans.
• Present estimates and VE options to senior management and clients.
• Mentor junior estimators and share knowledge across the team.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Track costs and update estimates as scope or market conditions change.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
