Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities for a power generation project and to coordinate across project management, construction, procurement, and client stakeholders.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring deliverables meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations as the project progresses from execution through turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline) required.
• 10+ years of engineering experience within EPC, power generation, or heavy industrial projects.
• Experience as Engineering Manager or Project Engineering Manager on large, complex projects.
• Familiarity with constructability reviews, modularization strategies, and field engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Lead all engineering activities for a specific power project, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements.
• Serve as the primary engineering interface between Zachry, the client, licensors, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Develop and manage the engineering execution plan, including deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate engineering inputs to support procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Manage engineering change control, ensuring impacts to cost, schedule, and quality are properly evaluated and communicated.
