Zachry Group in Charlotte, NC, seeks an EPC Project Manager – Combined Cycle Power Generation to oversee engineering across all EPC activities from notice to proceed through commercial operation.

The role focuses on leading cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with owner requirements, codes, and permits, and coordinating with procurement, construction, and commissioning to deliver safe, reliable power plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• 10+ years of EPC project management experience in power generation or heavy industry.
• 5+ years of experience with Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plants.
• Strong knowledge of EPC contracting models and project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project engineering for EPC execution from notice-to-proceed through commercial operation.
• Oversee detailed engineering to ensure design compliance with owner requirements, codes, permits.
• Provide engineering support for procurement of long-lead equipment and supplier selection.
• Coordinate engineering for site construction and resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Manage engineering EPC contract obligations and change orders.
• Identify project risks and mitigation plans.
• Assist with commissioning, startup, and performance testing.
• Support stakeholder reviews and steering committee presentations.
