Job summary

USAM DC is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to drive coordination from estimating handoff through submittal development and production readiness. You will lead the Project Engineering team, align with Estimating, Production, and other departments, and ensure drawings are fully coordinated and approved before release.

The role requires a BS in Construction Management or Engineering, 5 years in millwork or similar, and strong AutoCAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in architectural millwork or similar industry.
• Knowledge of AWI Standards and Microvellum Toolbox.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and planning new projects and project revisions.
• Assign Lead Project Engineers to new projects based on workload and requirements.
• Oversee the submittal engineering process to keep projects on schedule.
• Monitor and track submittal engineering budgets for each project.
• Identify potential schedule, staffing, resource, and workload issues before impacts.
• Provide problem-solving support to the engineering team and assist with escalated issues.
• Develop, implement, and maintain department SOPs, standards, and processes.
• Improve department workflows, efficiency, and quality.
