New York Power Authority is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to oversee major engineering projects and programs, ensuring safety, licensing, environmental, and governance compliance while delivering on time and within budget.
The role spans construction management, transmission upgrades, renewables integration, and statewide infrastructure initiatives with a focus on strengthening New York's electric grid and meeting clean-energy objectives.
Senior Project Engineers oversee large, complex engineering projects and portfolios, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, cost, schedule, and regulatory requirements. They provide technical leadership, manage project teams, coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders, and support NYPA's strategic objectives.
NYPA's Project Engineering work spans multiple specializations, including construction management, transmission corridor rebuilds, highvoltage substation modernization, renewable generation and storage integration, customerenergy and electrification programs, and major capital/Propel project delivery. Senior Project Engineers in this pool have opportunities to lead transformative, statewide infrastructure initiatives that directly advance NYPA's cleanenergy mission and strengthen the resilience of New York's electric grid.

The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is: $146,000 - $182,000. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates' relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
