Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for high-end vertical construction projects across the Southeast. You will drive project execution from preconstruction to closeout, partnering with PMs and Superintendents on large student housing and multifamily builds valued up to $150M+.

This is a traveling role supporting active job sites as needed. The ideal candidate will have 4–8+ years in commercial construction, a degree in CM/Engineering, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Experience on student housing, multifamily, or mid/high-rise projects strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage project documentation and coordination independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and logistics.
• Proficient with tools like Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast (project-based assignments).
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFI, submittal, and document control processes with minimal oversight
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality
• Assist in project scheduling, phasing plans, and look‑ahead planning
• Track and manage project costs, change orders, and budget impacts
• Support buyout and procurement efforts for key trades
• Drive QA/QC processes and ensure work aligns with plans/specs
• Maintain strong communication between field operations and office teams
• Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
