Our client, a nationally recognized general contractor, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its collaborative team. With a strong focus on affordable housing, the company delivers projects that create lasting value for residents and the communities they call home.

The Senior Project Engineer is involved throughout the entire project lifecycle—from supporting project planning and coordination during preconstruction to managing RFIs, submittals, cost tracking, and closeout. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to resolve challenges and help keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and to established quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in construction who is organized, collaborative, and ready to grow while contributing to meaningful, community-focused projects.

  • Review construction plans and specifications to assess constructability, identify potential issues, and support estimating and bid preparation.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, design teams, and project personnel throughout construction.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, schedules, change orders, and financial forecasts.
  • Track RFIs, design changes, and field issues to minimize cost and schedule impacts.
  • Conduct jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality, progress, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain project documentation and support client communication, project closeout, and warranty activities.
  • Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to resolve issues, improve project performance, and support team development.
Senior Project Engineer Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of construction industry experience, with a strong understanding of multifamily and commercial construction, including wood-frame and concrete projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings, specifications, and contracts, with knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
