Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive execution on large vertical construction projects across the Southeast. This traveling role partners with PMs and Superintendents to ensure schedules, quality, and cost controls are maintained on high-value multifamily developments.

Ideal candidates bring 4–8+ years in commercial construction, exposure to student housing or mid/high-rise projects, and proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Experience on student housing, multifamily, or mid/high-rise projects strongly preferred.
• Proficient with construction management tools and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFI, submittal, and document control processes with minimal oversight.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality.
• Assist in project scheduling, phasing plans, and look-ahead planning.
• Track and manage project costs, change orders, and budget impacts.
• Support buyout and procurement efforts for key trades.
• Drive QA/QC processes and ensure work aligns with plans/specs.
• Maintain strong communication between field operations and office teams.
• Assist in project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation.

Job Details

The Senior Project Engineer plays a key role in driving project execution from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with Project Managers and Superintendents on large-scale, vertical construction projects.

This is a traveling role across the Southeast U.S., supporting active job sites where needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead RFI, submittal, and document control processes with minimal oversight
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain schedule and quality
• Assist in project scheduling, phasing plans, and look‑ahead planning
• Track and manage project costs, change orders, and budget impacts
• Support buyout and procurement efforts for key trades

What We’re Looking For

• 4–8+ years of experience in commercial construction
• Experience on student housing, multifamily, or mid/high-rise projects strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage project documentation and coordination independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and logistics
• Proficient with tools like Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar
• Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast (project-based assignments)
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
