Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in the Seattle area to oversee the administrative and technical aspects of construction projects. You will manage a team of field and cost engineers and serve as the primary conduit of information between the Project Manager and the team, handling cost, revenue and cash flow information.

This role may evolve into Project Manager on smaller projects, with opportunities to relocate based on work and development plans.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of work experience in construction or engineering; vertical construction preferred.
• 2+ years of experience managing engineers and project subcontractors.
• Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on plans, specs, and contracts.
• Strong work ethic, initiative and commitment to ethics and integrity.
• Passion for safety and ensuring nobody gets hurt.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player able to work independently to meet deadlines.
• Excellent organization, time management and attention to detail.
