Job summary

Kiewit in the United States seeks a Project Engineer to lead scheduling, financial management, and coordination of construction projects within the South Central District. You will guide field and cost engineers, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design teams, managing temporary works, and supporting contract administration while maintaining safety and client satisfaction across mobility within LA, TX, MS, and AR.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, or another engineering discipline.
• Experience leading engineers and coordinating cross-functional teams on complex projects.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality control and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with input from field teams and suppliers.
• Oversee project financials: revenue tracking, cost control and cash flow forecasting.
• Prepare financial reports highlighting variances and corrective actions.
• Design and implement temporary works (scaffolding, shoring, access platforms) meeting safety standards.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure permanent works meet specifications.
• Lead the project closeout, including punch lists and documentation handover.
• Maintain client relations and serve as primary client contact.
• Support operations planning and contract/subcontract administration.
