General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Sr Project Engineer (SRM) with a remote option to join our Huntsville, AL team. The role focuses on engineering design evaluations, project planning, and cross-functional coordination to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree with 5–7 years of experience in engineering, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication skills; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering design evaluations within budget and scheduling restraints.

• Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems.
• Provides technical support for the engineering process.
• Designs, implements, and communicates an operational plan for completing the project. Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
• Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.

Essential Functions

• Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.

• Prepares engineering designs and work specifications.
• Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.

Required Qualifications


• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience
• Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
