Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer based in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on expanding fundamentals learned as a Project Engineer, managing larger scopes of work and teams on site.

You will participate in coordination and management of the jobsite to ensure safe, quality, timely execution of projects within our prefabrication setting. The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, and at least two years of related

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years’ equivalent experience in construction.General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
• Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be geographically mobile and able to relocate within the region.

Responsibilities

• General Contract and Subcontract administration.
• Construction Scheduling.
• Material & Equipment procurement and expediting.
• Coordination of mechanical, electrical and piping systems.
• Shop drawing and submittal review and coordination.
• Project cost review, reporting, updating and accounting.
• Review of subcontractor applications for payment.
• Supervision and coordination of subcontractors’ field installations.
• Change proposal pricing and cost reporting for changes.
