Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer based in Chandler, AZ. You will manage on-site coordination, contract administration, and safety programs to deliver quality builds on time and within budget.

You will lead subcontractors, coordinate MEP systems, review shop drawings, and drive cost control and schedule management while collaborating with diverse, employee-owned teams across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 2 years' equivalent experience required.
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
• Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work.
• Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment required.
• Must be geographically mobile and able to relocate within the region.

• Review and negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors.
• Prepare change proposal pricing for self-performed work.
• Change order documentation and associated cost reporting and maintenance.
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment.
• Maintenance of As-Built plans.
• Quality control - field and shop.
• Monitor and document jobsite safety and accident prevention.
• Project Closeout.
• Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs

Position Summary

The Senior Project Engineer position expands on the fundamentals learned as a Project Engineer specifically in the production and prefabrication setting. This position will incorporate the opportunity to manage larger scopes of work and employees. On a daily basis you will actively participate in the coordination and management of the jobsite to ensure a safe, quality, timely execution of the project. The position is based in our prefabrication office in Chandler, AZ.
