Job summary

MAAS is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the CSU Long Beach University Student Union renovation. You will work on site with the University's Design and Construction Services team, handling document control, review of design documents, and change orders through closeout.

Your background includes 4+ years in construction, the ability to read plans, proficiency with Bluebeam, and strong communication.

Qualifications

4 or more years in the construction industry as a project engineer or in a similar role.
The ability to read and understand construction plans.
Proficiency with Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

Design, technical, and administrative support through preconstruction, construction, and closeout.
Project document control, including plans, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules.
Tracking and filing of documents through design development and permitting.
Stakeholder review of design documents and tracking comments to resolution.
Independent review of change order requests for merit and fair pricing, and preparation of change orders.
Closeout and turnover process and project files for CSU system audit.
Site condition verification and field support as needed.
Project meetings, including scheduling, notes, and follow-up.
