Job summary

CT19 is recruiting a Commissioning Engineer for a first-of-a-kind NRC-licensed medical isotope production facility in Janesville, Wisconsin. You will plan, execute and document testing and commissioning across mechanical, electrical, I&C, and process systems as the project moves from construction to operations.

Working with Engineering, Construction and Operations teams, you will develop procedures, review drawings and vendor docs, coordinate with QA and EHS, and manage punch lists, retesting

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations or facility engineering.
• Experience with complex industrial equipment and systems.
• Nuclear experience desirable; NRC/DOE-regulated environments preferred.
• Navy Nuclear backgrounds encouraged.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 or MS Project beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Planning and executing facility testing, startup and commissioning.
• Developing commissioning procedures, test plans, checklists and acceptance criteria.
• Reviewing P&IDs, drawings, control narratives, specifications and vendor documentation.
• Performing installation inspections and system-readiness reviews.
• Supporting FATs, SATs, equipment startup and functional performance testing.
• Control-loop verification and sequence testing.
• Supporting integrated testing across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls and process systems.
• Coordinating directly with Engineering, Construction, QA, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, vendors and contractors.
• Managing deficiencies, failed tests, punch-list items and retesting.
• Maintaining commissioning documentation and reporting system readiness and progress.

Job description

Help commission a first-of-a-kind nuclear facility from construction through to operations.

We are supporting an innovative nuclear technology company developing a new NRC-licensed medical isotope production facility in Janesville, Wisconsin.

They are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to help plan, execute and document the testing and commissioning of the facility, including first-of-a-kind nuclear and chemical processing equipment.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work across mechanical, electrical, I&C, process and utility systems as a major nuclear project moves from construction into commissioning and ultimately full operations.

The Role

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years within commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations or facility engineering
• Engineering degree or equivalent relevant industry experience
• Experience working with complex industrial equipment and systems
• Strong understanding of commissioning documentation and system turnover
• Nuclear experience is highly desirable, particularly within NRC/DOE-regulated environments
• Navy Nuclear backgrounds are strongly encouraged
• Pharmaceutical or other highly regulated process-industry experience would also be relevant
• Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project experience is beneficial
• Comfortable working within industrial and radiation environments
