Job summary

Coeur Mining, Inc. Wharf in South Dakota seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital, sustaining capital, infrastructure, and operational improvement projects from concept through commissioning.

You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Process, Environmental, Supply Chain, Finance, and external contractors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while upholding engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• PE designation preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years of engineering and project management experience in mining or related industries.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept through commissioning.
• Contractor management and construction oversight experience.
• Strong understanding of project controls, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Experience preparing capital appropriations, business cases, and economic evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and sustaining capital projects from concept through commissioning and closeout.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and resources.
• Prepare charters, cost estimates, business cases, and approvals.
• Coordinate design activities by internal teams and external consultants.
• Develop and monitor project schedules using best practices.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Procurement coordination for equipment and contracted services.
• Mentor engineers and project coordinators and drive continuous improvement.
