Job summary

NewRange Copper Nickel is seeking a Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of capital and sustaining projects within our mining and mineral processing operations in Minnesota. You will work in the Project Engineering Department with operations, processing, maintenance, environmental, safety, procurement, and engineering teams to deliver projects aligned with the capital plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial operations.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Project Engineer or similar project execution role.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulatory requirements is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Manage multiple capital and sustaining projects through scoping, design, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
• Define scope, objectives, budgets, and schedules with project owners and sponsors.
• Develop project execution plans and track performance against approved capital plans.
• Coordinate with external engineering firms for design, cost estimation, and deliverables.
