Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects in a highly automated manufacturing environment producing specialty ingredients. You will drive scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and vendor decisions from concept through startup and final acceptance.

The role emphasizes process improvements, PFDs/P&IDs, and coordinating with operations, maintenance, and leadership to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project engineering/PM experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, results-oriented problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capital projects from concept through completion.
• Develop scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and appropriation requests.
• Manage design, procurement, construction, startup and final acceptance.
• Identify process improvements to increase throughput and reduce costs.
• Develop PFDs, plant layouts, and P&IDs.
• Perform engineering calculations and review drawings/specs.
• Prepare bid packages and evaluate proposals from vendors/contractors.
• Monitor field construction activities and ensure safety and specs.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, process engineering and leadership.
• Support Process Hazard Analysis, MOC, PSSR, and PSM activities.
• Develop annual and long-range capital plans with plant leadership.
• Manage budgets, documentation, and reporting.
