Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead capital improvement projects in a manufacturing setting. You’ll coordinate with plant leadership, maintenance, and technical teams to identify challenges and implement engineering solutions from concept through startup.

Responsibilities include developing project plans, budgets, ROI analyses, coordinating contractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while staying within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field) preferred.
• Experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital improvement projects from concept through completion.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, resources, and cost estimates.
• Prepare and present project justifications and ROI analyses to upper management.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams during project execution.
• Oversee project timelines and ensure milestones are met.
• Provide startup assistance and commissioning support for new equipment or systems.
