Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to support manufacturing operations by introducing new processing, packaging, or facility fixed capital assets.

You will lead capital projects, provide technical solutions, and train maintenance staff to ensure smooth handoffs and knowledge transfer. The role demands extensive experience in project management within a beverage, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, strong budgeting and scheduling skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering.
• 8–10 years of project engineering or management in a fast-paced manufacturing setting (food & beverage or pharma preferred).
• Experience leading capital projects from initiation to delivery using standard PM processes.
• Experience with DQ, FAT, CQV, ramp-up analysis, and related project protocols.
• Proficient with MS Office, Excel, MS Project; CAD for system designs and layouts; reading electrical schematics and P&ID.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects from initiation to delivery using engineering PM processes and procedures.
• Adhere to regulations, industry best practices and engineering standards.
• Ensure completion of all project phases: Initiation, Planning, Executing, Controlling, Closing.
• Develop and manage Resource Plans and Communication Plans for stakeholders.
• Develop and manage Budget and Cost plans throughout project lifetime.
• Provide technical solutions, design support, and equipment troubleshooting for operations.
• Recommend and implement CI projects with ROI justifications.
• Develop knowledge mastery in new systems to train plant engineers and maintenance staff.
