Dean, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide technical and administrative guidance for complex projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and design instructions. You will help troubleshoot installation issues and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.

The role emphasizes planning budgets, schedules, manpower, and change orders, along with maintaining as-builts, documentation, and safety plans across project teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (ABET preferred).
• 3+ years of experience with a Master of Science degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Planning and maintaining project budget and schedule.
• Planning and maintaining manpower forecasts in relation to budget and schedule.
• Planning and monitoring cash flow against cash expenses.
• Establishing labor and productivity rates.
• Identifying value added solutions and cost saving methods.
• Pricing, tracking and managing change orders.
• Identifying change orders and ensuring effective resolution.
• Maintaining as-builts as work is completed.
• Documenting project issues/conditions.
• Maintaining organized and detailed project records.
• Submitting hours and cost codes.
• Planning and executing project completion and punch list.
• Preparing specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
• Preparing invoices.
• Submitting O&M manuals.
• Completing a comprehensive estimate.
• Running a KPR (Key Project Review).
• Developing a Safety Plan.
• Running day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
• Managing design development logs and criteria compliance matrix.
• Managing coordination & detailing logs & schedule.
• Managing schedule updates.
• Managing productivity reports.
• Identifying value added solutions & cost savings methods.
• Being a major participant in Project Kick Off Meeting (PKOM) process.
• Assisting in Field Inspections / productivity tracking.
• Gaining knowledge and assisting with the Materials Requisition System.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (ABET preferred)

Master of Science in Engineering

Professional Engineer License, preferred
