Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering design, planning, and execution for meat processing facilities. You will analyze data, develop implementation plans to improve efficiency, cut waste, and reduce costs, while guiding a small team on medium-to-large projects.

You will coordinate with vendors, review submissions, manage budgets, ensure codes and standards compliance, and drive schedules across locations to deliver on targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles for food processing and meat industry preferred.
• Ability to apply sound engineering principles to operational and design issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs, material specifications, and project cost estimates.
• Conduct feasibility studies and research to support design choices.
• Ensure designs meet standards and codes; validate field work and create as-built drawings.
• Review submissions for accuracy and compliance; coordinate with vendors, contractors, and plant teams to stay on schedule.
• Direct vendors and contractors on layout planning and utility requirements.
• Maintain documentation including manuals, drawings, specs, and vendor contacts.
• Define project scope, prepare proposals, and evaluate bids.
• Monitor installations to ensure they meet specs, budgets, and timelines.
• Manage project budgets to meet financial targets.
