Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers seeks a Project Engineer to lead technical design and engineering execution on land development projects in our Orlando or Jacksonville offices. You will own deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, and a minimum of five years' progressive experience, with strong communication and mentoring skills to guide

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• 5+ years progressive engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with engineering design and analysis software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and preparation of land development plans.
• Develop grading, drainage, utility, and roadway layouts.
• Coordinate permitting and agency approvals.
• Evaluate site constraints and design alternatives.
• Produce complete engineering designs, reports, and calculations.
• Coordinate work with project managers, subconsultants, and stakeholders.
• Review work and ensure accuracy and quality.
• Support delivery by identifying risks and managing schedule/budget.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in professional organizations.
