McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Project Engineer II at our Hunt Valley Plant to lead large, strategic capital and expense projects. You will guide cross-functional teams, develop charters, and drive project objectives from conception through validation, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to standards.

The role requires strong engineering leadership, budget management, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading multiple projects from evaluation to implementation.
• Experience with capital project budgeting and scheduling.
• Contractor management including bidding, field supervision, and change orders.
• Strong written and verbal communication; leadership of project teams.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Word, AutoCAD; willingness to travel (~10%).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership to cross-functional project teams.
• Develop project charters, scope, and objectives; manage cost and schedule.
• Prepare capital requests, cost justifications, and technical specs.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, select equipment, negotiate contracts.
• Lead FAT planning, installation supervision, and startup troubleshooting.
• Coordinate IQ/OQ/PQ with project teams during installation and validation.
• Ensure adherence to standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and support TPM pillar teams.
