Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is partnered with a large national heavy civil contractor hiring a Senior Project Engineer for a multiyear I-95 widening project in the Savannah, GA area. You’ll lead the engineering effort for highway and bridge work, coordinate with DOT, designers, and field teams, and drive submittals, cost reporting, and schedules.

Requirements include 5+ years in heavy civil highway/bridge/DOT projects, a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 5+ years of project engineering in heavy civil highway/bridge/DOT projects.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team.
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with in-field leadership.
