Job summary

Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company, part of the PPL Corporation family, seek an Engineer for the Project Engineering department in Louisville, KY. This front-facing field role reports to the Manager of heavy industrial, major capital construction projects and focuses on safety, quality, and scope execution.

You will review project documents, manage contracts, and advise management. The position involves travel and is located at our Broadway office in Louisville.

Qualifications

• Safety focus and regulatory compliance in heavy industrial environments.
• Design and execution of heavy industrial process systems.
• Scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation across complex projects.
• Contract management and coordination with suppliers and contractors.
• Preparation and presentation of engineering reports and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-driven project execution for heavy industrial systems.
• Spearhead design and execution of process systems.
• Collaborate with managers on scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
• Ensure adherence to design, quality, budget, and schedule throughout execution.
• Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, procurement, and stakeholders.
• Analyze engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents for discrepancies.
• Manage activities of contractors and suppliers to meet project specs.
