Job summary

True North Consultants in Savannah, GA area, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major I-95 widening project. You will lead the engineering side, manage submittals, RFIs, and cost control, coordinating with DOT and design teams.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil highway/bridge, a BS in Civil Engineering or related field, and proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office. Relocation assistance available for a multiyear assignment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering in heavy civil highway, bridge, or DOT projects.
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and MS Office.
• Based in Savannah area or willing to relocate for a multiyear project.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team.
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with field guidance.
