Job summary

Granite Construction in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking an experienced construction engineering professional to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite activities for heavy civil projects. You will oversee job controls, budgeting, schedules, forecasting, and cost compliance while supporting design interpretation and constructability reviews.

You will lead project engineering assignments, implement procedures, and represent the company in client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of training and experience accepted.
• 4+ years in construction estimating support, engineering, or field support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with AGTEK Take-off and Primavera scheduling software.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead a diverse team.
• Must comply with safety initiatives and be a team player.

Responsibilities

Job description

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience accepted
• 4+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with AGTEK Take-off
• Proficiency with Primavera Scheduling software
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards
• In-depth understanding of interdependence and relationships between functional units
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines
• Ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, and use a computer keyboard
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around large construction equipment and outside working conditions
