Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer to lead heavy civil highway and bridge projects in the Atlanta area. You’ll manage submittals, RFIs, cost reports and schedules, coordinating with owners, DOT inspectors and design teams.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years (Senior PE 5+) of heavy civil experience, a civil engineering-related degree, and working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Office. Atlanta relocation is welcome with a clear path to Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects (5+ years for Senior PE)
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
• GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus
• Bridge experience is a plus
• EIT or PE is a plus
• Based in the Atlanta area or ready to relocate

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the field engineers on the team (Senior PE)
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field
