Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer for heavy civil highway and bridge work in the Atlanta area. You’ll lead engineering scope, manage submittals, RFIs and cost reporting, and partner with the project team to meet timelines and budgets on DOT projects.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years (Senior PE 5+) of highway/bridge experience, a civil engineering degree, and proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Office. Relocation welcomed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway/bridge/DOT projects (5+ years for Senior PE).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Office.
• GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus; bridge experience is a plus.
• EIT or PE is a plus; based in Atlanta or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout.
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications.
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts.
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries.
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the field engineers on the team (Senior PE).
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field.
