Job summary

Aurubis is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive the department's project portfolio and align engineering processes with our global standards. You will collaborate with the Production or SCM Director and other leaders to ensure capital is deployed efficiently.

This role requires extensive experience in industrial capital projects, strong leadership, and hands-on ability to work in a smelter environment. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• PE license, or similar credential (CESCP, CPSE) preferred.
• Project management certification preferred.
• 10+ years Industrial Capital Project Engineering experience on large-scale projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with project engineering expertise.

Responsibilities

• Allocate capital budget efficiently and accurately.
• Develop, implement and oversee engineering project processes and systems.
• Lead FEL project development and capital portfolio management.
• Ensure document management and change control compliance.
• Oversee MOC, PSSR, Hazop processes and post-project reviews.
• Staffing, vendor management, and contractor coordination.
