Senior Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist - (SrEngGeoSci)

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Concord, CA US (Primary)

Job Summary:
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to support a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to local communities, by providing effective, responsive, and safe solutions to complex environmental challenges. This full-time position requires approximately 40-45 hours per week and involves a blend of project management, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this opportunity is ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage large-scale groundwater monitoring programs and remediation projects at industrial facilities.
  2. Manage small-scale soil gas and indoor air monitoring programs at industrial facilities.
  3. Interact with various state agencies to optimize and revise monitoring programs as necessary.
  4. Scope, cost, plan, schedule, execute, and report for assigned projects.
  5. Manage subcontractors, prepare purchase orders, and approve vendor invoices.
  6. Manage staff and assign resources to complete project tasks within budget and on schedule.
  7. Develop work plans and health & safety plans.
  8. Coordinate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders to execute site investigation and remediation projects.
  9. Oversee and perform field investigations that may include reconnaissance, mapping, and multi-media sampling (air, water, soil).
  10. Oversee remediation construction projects, including leading field teams in completion of remediation work.
  11. Maintain client, Trihydro, and regulatory health & safety standards and perform regular field project health & safety audits.
  12. Manage and evaluate data for regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
  13. Prepare site restoration, investigation summary, remedy implementation, performance monitoring, permit compliance, and site closure reports.

Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in geology, engineering, or a related field (California professional registration is a plus).
  2. 12-20 years of relevant project management experience.
  3. Strong technical and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  5. Initiative to complete project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  6. Working knowledge of health & safety best practices and a commitment to safe operations.
  7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and conversant with Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling packages.
  8. The ability to grasp scientific concepts and apply them to different technical challenges.
  9. Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card.

Salary Information:
The salary information shown below is a general guideline ONLY. Salaries are based on candidates' experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $100,000 – $120,000.
