Job summary

Parsons is seeking an accomplished Project Engineer to join our Federal Solutions team in the United States. You will integrate engineering, scope, budget, scheduling, procurement, construction, and start-up aspects for a medium-size project, ensuring technical excellence across disciplines and effective coordination with vendors and subcontractors.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years of related experience; professional registration (PE or PMP) is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years related field engineering experience or broad general engineering background and previous project engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrates engineering, scope, budget, scheduling, procurement, construction, and start-up aspects of a medium-size project.
• May manage a subtask of a larger project in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Responsible for the technical excellence of the engineering functions of the project including coordination of technical disciplines, procurement of materials and equipment, and construction planning assistance.
• Develops scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget; documents changes in scope.
• Determines procurement scope, schedules, and budgets for technical aspects of the contract; interfaces with Procurement and subcontracts to coordinate with vendors/subcontractors; participates in bid analysis.
• Reviews work to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and procedures; ensures quality.
• Monitors productivity and proficiency of assigned technical personnel; reassigns as needed.
• Provides training and development opportunities for assigned personnel.
