Job summary

Parsons is seeking an Office Engineer to join our Federal Solutions team. You will integrate engineering, scope, budget, scheduling, procurement, construction, and start-up aspects of projects and ensure technical excellence across disciplines.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10+ years of related experience; professional registration (PE or PMP) is a plus. This role supports the delivery of defense, security, and infrastructure programs in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 10+ years related field engineering experience.
• Professional registration such as PE or PMP (desired).

Responsibilities

• Integrates engineering, scope, budget, scheduling, procurement, construction, and start-up aspects of a medium-size project.
• May manage a subtask of a larger project in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Responsible for the technical excellence of the engineering functions of the project including coordination of technical disciplines, procurement of materials and equipment, and construction planning assistance.
• Develops the scope of engineering work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned project elements, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope.
• Determines the scope of procurement work, schedules, and budgets for technical aspects of the contract and monitors progress. Interfaces with Procurement and subcontracts to facilitate procurement coordination with vendors/subcontractors. Participates in bid analysis to help determine supplier availability and capability.
• Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and that quality is acceptable.
