The US Army Corps of Engineers seeks a Senior Project Engineer to manage field and office engineering, inspections, materials testing, and administrative functions on complex projects. You will review reports, monitor work placement to optimize funding, and oversee site condition investigations and cost changes to contract plans.

Responsibilities include ensuring contractor compliance with program policies, procedures, and wage-hour regulations, and coordinating design reviews and cost estimates

Formación

• Appointment subject to a suitability or fitness determination based on a background investigation.
• One-year probationary period unless already met requirements in 5 CFR Part 315.

Responsabilidades

• Senior Project Engineer: involved in field engineering, inspection, office engineering, materials testing and control, and administrative functions.
• Ensure that all phases of office responsibilities are carried out effectively through review of correspondence, reports, problems encountered and general observations of activities.
• Monitor the work performed and advise appropriate personnel of projected work placement to ensure optimum utilization of funds available.
• Supervise and perform investigation of site conditions, preparation of drawings, and development of cost estimates for changes in contract plans and specifications due to unforeseen field conditions.
• Review design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Inform the contractor of their responsibilities and establish the necessary controls to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Administer wage and hour laws with respect to the contractor's labor force in accordance with district procedures and contract documents.
