Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers - Honolulu District is seeking a Chief of Cost Engineering to lead the cost engineering branch within the Pacific Ocean Division. The role directs technical policies, standards and cost-related construction activities across the district and interacts with national and international environmental issues and partners.

The incumbent will supervise engineers and technicians, develop district-wide cost policies, and coordinate with architectural, program, and contracting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering with core coursework as specified in basic requirements.
• Engineering degree with ABET accreditation or equivalent, or acceptable alternate credential as described.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervisory oversight of cost engineering staff: planning, assigning, coordinating, and reviewing work.
• Directs cost engineering activities supporting military and civil works projects, including cost estimates and technical reports.
• Develops and implements cost engineering policies, guidance, standards and procedures district-wide.
• Coordinates cost engineering operations with architectural, engineering, program, project, resource management and contracting groups.
• Advises senior leadership on complex cost engineering matters and represents the organization at technical meetings and conferences.
