Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a major FDOT heavy civil/highway project in Lakeland, FL. Lead RFI/submittal processes, scheduling, and coordination with designers, owner, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering on heavy-civil / heavy-highway projects.
• Hands-on FDOT roadway project experience.
• Strong command of RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and field coordination.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Run the RFI and submittal process end to end to keep the project on schedule.
• Drive the schedule by building, updating, and analyzing CPM schedules and spotting critical-path risks.
• Partner with the Superintendent and crews on sequencing, material deliveries, and subcontractor coordination.
• Own the numbers—quantity tracking, pay estimates, and monthly owner pay applications.
• Review plans and specs for constructability and FDOT compliance; manage change orders and cost proposals.
• Maintain tight documentation, daily reports, and as-builts to FDOT standards; mentor junior engineers.
