Job summary

MCN Build in Washington, DC is seeking a motivated Senior Project Engineer with 2–4 years of construction experience to support project coordination and execution. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager and begin taking ownership of key processes while guiding junior team members.

You’ll manage RFIs, submittals, and document control, coordinate with subcontractors and field teams, and assist with cost tracking and change orders to keep projects on schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–4 years of construction experience.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, coordination, and project processes.
• Proficiency in Procore, PlanGrid, Sage 300 or similar tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, and document control with limited oversight.
• Coordinate directly with subcontractors and field teams.
• Own specific scopes or phases of work and support cost tracking.
• Assist in resolving project issues and drive process improvements.
• Provide guidance to junior Project Engineers.
