Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead complex engineering projects from concept through delivery. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage schedules and budgets, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

The role requires strong project management experience and the ability to mentor junior engineers, while collaborating with clients and vendors to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering and project execution experience.
• Experience managing complex engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects through all phases, including planning, design, development, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Coordinate project activities across cross‑functional teams including engineering, operations, quality, manufacturing, procurement, and external vendors.
• Develop project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, customer requirements, and safety guidelines.
• Identify project risks and proactively implement corrective actions.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution during project execution.
• Manage change requests and technical modifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and project presentations.
