Collins Aerospace in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Principal Project Engineer to lead engineering execution on a government/defense program. You will own technical scope, schedule, and cost, and serve as the primary engineering interface for the program.

You will manage budgets, staffing forecasts, risk and opportunities, and coordinate with disciplines to ensure on-time delivery. Active SECRET clearance and STEM degree with years of experience are required; relocation benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Project Engineer, Technical Subcontract Manager, or IPT Lead.
• Ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals.
• Strong knowledge of communications systems development and military electronics.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Knowledge of Risk and Opportunity management.
• Active SECRET clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
• STEM degree with 8+ years, or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Ensure overall Engineering execution within the program, with decision authority on Engineering activities.
• Manage budget and schedule for program Engineering tasks; review execution against schedule and cost.
• Forecast staffing and coordinate with disciplines to assign staffing (local, distributed, or supplier).
• Provide TPMs-based program metrics and risk assessment.
• Provide timely status reports to Program and Engineering organizations.
• Interact with suppliers key to program/engineering success.
• Develop Estimates at Completion (EAC) for the program with Cost Account Managers.
• Oversee and manage engineering Risks and Opportunities across the program.
• Conduct Engineering Bid Reviews (EBRs) and Engineering Program Reviews (EPRs).
• Support Program Management Reviews (PMRs) for all Engineering matters.
