Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Waco, TX is seeking a Senior Specialist Project Engineer to lead complex hardware/software programs on airborne platforms and Digital ICE products.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage plans, schedules, and budgets, and interface with customers and leadership throughout the lifecycle. The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, travel as needed, and a proven record in Aircraft Integration, Test and Delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Experience in Aircraft Integration, Test and Delivery.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to travel as needed based on business demands.
• Experience in Software/Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Project Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams in program execution.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve design and integration challenges.
• Lead integration of hardware and software for Electronic Attack Mission Systems and Digital ICs products.
• Guide program planning, guidance, and engineering execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Track engineering performance metrics and report status monthly to senior leadership.
• Monitor cost and schedule, explain variances and corrective actions.
• Ensure program execution and Bid/Proposal development align with engineering processes and policies.
• Ensure compliance with performance, reliability, and safety standards.
