Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects across our dairy facilities in Wisconsin. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop scope, design requirements, and manage budgets from planning through commissioning.

Candidates should have 5–10 years in large capital projects, preferably in dairy or sanitary processes, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. This role involves travel and close alignment with plant management and corporate

Qualifications

• 5-10 years experience in large capital project engineering, project management.
• Experience in dairy, food, or sanitary processes strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar degree/experience required.

Responsibilities

• Apply company methodologies and enforce project standards.
• Minimize expenses and risks of project.
• Enforce safety standards and construction best practices.
• Track and report team hours and expenses.
• Prepare process designs, equipment specifications and capital estimates for process upgrades, modifications to existing systems and installation / commissioning of new assets.
• Coordinate implementation, write technical specifications, prepare plans and quotes, and allocate contracts for capital expenditure projects.
• Regularly communicate with on-site contractors to instruct, guide and answer questions.
