Job summary

Talent With Heart client is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to take a project from concept to completion for custom automated production equipment.

You will report to the Mechanical Engineering Manager and guide design efforts, budgets, and timelines while coordinating with customers and suppliers. The role requires a BS Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of project design experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks, welding, fixture design, and GD&T.

Qualifications

• BSME or similar degree with strong mechanical design skills.
• 5+ years of project design experience for fully customized automated production equipment.
• You must know SolidWorks.
• Experience with welding and fixture design and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall design of a custom automated machine contracted for a client.
• Manage resources and breakdown design effort for large projects into manageable tasks with milestones.
• Incorporate robotics, vision systems, welding, fixtures, controls, material handling, laser/plasma cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, high-speed assembly, packaging.
• Communicate regularly status of projects with customers and management.
