Job summary

Aptiv in Troy, Michigan is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for Connected Services to drive development, validation and testing of powertrain and vehicle control systems in OE and aftermarket sectors.

You will define requirements with customers, lead data acquisition and analysis efforts, coordinate cross-functional teams, and contribute to quotes and studies while staying current with calibration technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Automotive, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or 7–10 years of equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with OE & aftermarket engine, OBD, transmission or vehicle systems calibration, validation, and development.
• Knowledge of data acquisition, management, and analysis tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with customers and management.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts and see how tasks interconnect.
• Curiosity and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support engineering projects for powertrain/vehicle systems.
• Review requirements with customers and translate to specs.
• Modify data acquisition components to meet performance requirements.
• Analyze and present powertrain data to increase customer value.
• Collaborate with engineers to diagnose and resolve system malfunctions.
• Contribute to quotes, reports, and studies.
• Stay current with calibration technology training.
