Job summary

JTM Construction, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Superintendent on complex commercial projects.

This role spans from estimation through project closeout and requires strong teamwork and communication. The successful candidate will be professional, self-motivated, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with travel in the greater Seattle area as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture (required).
• Minimum of three years of experience working for a commercial general contractor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity and the ability to innovate.
• Knowledge of P6, Vista, Autodesk, PlanGrid, and BlueBeam preferred.
• Valid Washington State driver's license with ability to provide a clean driving record.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Estimate various scopes of work for conceptual through GMP estimates.
• Manage project submittal and material delivery schedules.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals in correlation to design requirements.
• Prepare and document accurate meeting minutes.
• Update and maintain project record documents, specifications, and logs.
• Oversee project closeout.
• Review and process subcontractor/trade partner change orders.
• Compile, submit, and negotiate owner change orders.
• Compile and submit monthly payment applications.
• Assist in creating and updating project monthly forecasts.
• Draft and review RFIs for submission to the design team.
• Manage large subcontractor/trade partner scopes from buyout through closeout.
• Oversee and manage project interns.
• Participate in overall project safety.
• Contribute to company committee.
