Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Site Engineer to oversee construction activities in Paarl. The role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, QA standards, and site safety, with responsibility for site operations and stakeholder coordination to ensure design conformity and timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and at least 5 years of equivalent experience, with proven leadership and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Site Engineer or similar role.
• Experience managing construction sites and coordinating trades.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and QA standards.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily construction activities on site.
• Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and construction schedules.
• Implement and enforce strict quality control and safety procedures on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team.
• Interpret engineering drawings and provide technical guidance to construction teams.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site diaries, and resolve on-site issues promptly.
