Job summary

Our client in Starkville, Mississippi, a manufacturer of specialty chemicals, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to manage an individual portfolio of capital projects from concept through commissioning and start‑up in a hands‑on manufacturing environment.

You will lead scope, schedule, and budget, coordinate Operations, Environmental, Safety, and vendors, and deliver projects typically ranging from $1 million to $15 million.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in PM, plant ops, or process design.
• Experience managing capital projects from cradle to grave ($1M–$15M).
• Experience with FEED, P&IDs, PFDs, procurement, commissioning and start‑up.
• Strong communication and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of projects from concept through commissioning and start‑up.
• Coordinate Operations, Environmental, Safety, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates, schedules, and cost reports.
• Ensure safety and hands‑on capability within a manufacturing environment.
