Job summary

Charter Casting seeks a Senior Project Engineer – Capital Projects to lead end-to-end capital initiatives at our Woodstock, IL and Shawano, WI facilities. You will manage scope, ROI analyses, procurement, and installation, coordinating with operations, maintenance, and external contractors.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in manufacturing project management, strong data-driven decision skills, and CAD proficiency (SolidWorks/AutoCAD).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years direct project management in manufacturing.
• Experience using data to drive decisions.
• Experience with capital equipment procurement, RFQ and ROI analytics.
• Demonstrated leadership with cross-functional teams.
• PM experience across multiple initiatives at various levels.
• Change management with strong verbal and written skills.
• Basic electrical and mechanical concepts.
• Proficient in 2D CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Self-starter, minimal supervision required; willing to travel 25%+.

Responsibilities

• Lead major initiatives to support long-term growth and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with plants to design economical implementation of initiatives.
• Serve as engineering lead and role model within the team.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and contractors.
• Identify engineering needs for key stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor colleagues in project execution and problem solving.
• Align stakeholders, remove barriers, and drive adoption.
• Utilize internal and external resources through project phases.
• Perform other duties and ensure compliance with EHS procedures.
